Windows applications anno 2008

If you're about to develop a new application, how would you do it? Well Microsoft and the cool guys at Vertigo have a very nice reference application demonstration showing what you can do with:

It's called Family.Show and it is basically demonstrating the new way to build (future) applications for the Windows operating system.

Family.Show website

The cool thing is that you can easily run it yourself and you can download the full source code for you to explore. They even have some development WPF/Expression Blend tips and detailed notes.

As Karstennj write:

Now what is missing is the collaboration part, the offline/online smart client part, and demonstration of auto update deployment but all-in-all I think this is a very nice application that many developers will use as reference application.
