TwinhanDTV on Vista?

I have the TwinhanDTV Cab-CI (Model 2033) which is a PCI card having both a TV/FM tuner and a common interface (CI) which supports CA modules (CAM) such as the Viaccess that I'm using. This is a card for allowing you to see digital cable TV on your PC - the so called DVB-C standard.

I've been able to use this on Windows XP without too much problems, but on Windows Vista I'm able to see channels but there is no sound, similar to what is reported here. I'm using version 2.65 of the TwinhanDTV software (player and drivers). I know that the product is not listing Vista as supported operating system, but it is strange that only the audio output is missing.

Twinhan is a Taiwan based company which unfortunately is not providing much support - their website is difficult to navigate, the FAQ sections are too basic  or non-existing and do not expect to get much feedback from contacting support (if you're able to do this without getting HTTP errors). They do provide a download page for updated software and drivers, but its difficult to understand exactly what to use.
